Dr. Sarah-Masha Fainberg is a Senior Researcher and Head of the Great Powers Research Program at Tel Aviv University’s Elrom Center for Air and Space Studies, where she specializes in great power competition and the evolving role of air and space power in contemporary warfare. She also lectures in the MA Program for Security and Diplomacy Studies at Tel Aviv University. Her experience spans both academia and government, including service as a Policy and Strategic Issues Adviser at Israel’s Ministry of Defense and as a Research Fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS). She has also served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Georgetown University and is a member of Forum Dvorah. Beyond her academic and policy-making roles, Dr. Fainberg works to foster strong Europe-Israel relations through her active involvement as a board member of ELNET.
