4. Photography, Video & Media Recording
The Summit may be photographed, filmed, livestreamed, or otherwise recorded by ELNET or its authorized third parties. By attending the Summit, each participant hereby grants ELNET an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and sublicensable license to use, broadcast, publish, edit, and distribute their name, image, voice, likeness, actions, or statements in any and all media now known or hereafter devised for promotional, institutional, or educational purposes, without any geographic or time limitations. Participants hereby waive any right to inspection, approval, or financial compensation regarding such use, and fully release and discharge ELNET, its directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, or demands arising out of privacy rights, publicity rights, defamation, or misappropriation of likeness. Participants requesting specific seating adjustments due to media exposure concerns must contact the organizers in writing at least 14 days prior to the Summit. ELNET will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests but guarantees no absolute exclusion

5. Information Sharing
Personal information may be shared only when necessary with:

ELNET Jerusalem Summit Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct

Purpose

The ELNET Jerusalem Summit seeks to foster respectful, serious, and constructive dialogue among leaders, policymakers, experts, diplomats, journalists, business representatives, and civil society participants.

This Code establishes the professional standards expected of all participants, speakers, partners, staff, media representatives, and guests.

1. Principles of Conduct

All participants are expected to:

  • Engage respectfully with others
  • Promote constructive dialogue and intellectual openness
  • Respect differing opinions and backgrounds
  • Maintain professional behavior throughout the Summit
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment

2. Respectful Communication

Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated. This includes conduct based on:

  • Nationality
  • Religion
  • Ethnicity
  • Gender
  • Sexual orientation
  • Disability
  • Political affiliation
  • Professional status

Participants are expected to maintain civil discourse even during disagreement or political debate.

Each participant assumes sole personal and legal liability for their conduct, expressions, and interactions during the Summit. Under no circumstances shall ELNET be held liable for the conduct, omissions, or statements of any participant. Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ELNET from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or resulting from the participant’s breach of this Code or violation of third-party rights

3. Media, Recording & Confidentiality

Participants must respect any:

  • Off-the-record discussions
  • Chatham House Rule sessions
  • Speaker confidentiality requests
  • Security restrictions

Unauthorized recording, publication, or dissemination of confidential discussions may result in removal from the Summit. Any breach of this section constitutes a material breach of the terms of participation. In addition to immediate removal from the Summit, ELNET reserves the right to pursue all available legal, equitable, and monetary remedies against the breaching party to compensate for any financial, reputational, or institutional damages caused by such unauthorized disclosure.

4. Security Compliance

All attendees must comply with:

  • Venue security procedures
  • Accreditation requirements
  • Staff instructions
  • Safety protocols

ELNET reserves the right to deny entry or remove individuals who fail to comply with security standards.

5. Responsible Representation

Participants speaking publicly about the Summit should:

  • Accurately represent discussions

  • Clearly distinguish personal views from official Summit positions unless formally authorized

6. Digital & Social Media Conduct

Participants are encouraged to engage responsibly online.

The Summit encourages:

  • Respectful online discussion
  • Accurate citation of speakers and sessions
  • Responsible sharing of photos and content

 

The Summit discourages:

  • Harassment or targeted abuse online
  • Misleading editing or manipulation of content
  • Publication of restricted or confidential discussions

7. Conflicts of Interest

Speakers, sponsors, moderators, and participants are encouraged to disclose relevant conflicts of interest where appropriate.
Transparency supports the credibility and integrity of Summit discussions.

8. Enforcement

ELNET|EJS reserves the right to:

  • Issue warnings
  • Revoke accreditation
  • Remove participants from Summit activities
  • Restrict future participation
  • in cases of serious misconduct, security violations, harassment, or breaches of this Code. In the event that a participant’s accreditation is revoked or they are removed from the Summit premises due to a violation of this Code, ELNET shall have no obligation to issue refunds, credits, or compensation for registration fees, ticket costs, travel, accommodation, or any other expenses incurred by the participant or their registering organization.

Participants may report concerns regarding misconduct, harassment, security issues, or ethical violations to:

Reports will be reviewed seriously and ELNET will make its best efforts to maintain the confidentiality of the reporting participant, subject to any applicable legal requirements or mandatory disclosure obligations under law.
