Tzachi Hanegbi is a senior Israeli political figure with more than three decades of experience in government, diplomacy, and national security. He served as Israel’s National Security Adviser until October 2025, where he advised the Prime Minister on strategic affairs and coordinated security and diplomatic policy at the highest level, including on regional threats and international partnerships.
First elected to the Knesset in 1988, Hanegbi has held a wide range of senior ministerial positions across multiple governments. His roles have included Minister of Public Security, Minister of Justice, Minister of Health, Minister of Environmental Protection, and Minister for Regional Cooperation. He has also been a long-standing member of key cabinet and security forums, contributing to Israel’s policymaking on defense, counterterrorism, and regional diplomacy.
